Numbers near a hundred Stage 6 Addition and Subtraction Strategies Phoebe Wong



I've learned about when there is a sum of 2 numbers, look for the number that is close to 100. Work out the difference between that number to 100 (98+2=100), so the other number will have to minus the same number (34-2=32). So it makes us easy to calculate.
My next step is to practice more and try to get all correct.

    Great work in completing these activities, being able to quickly add and subtract numbers close to the 100s is really useful. It is a strategy you will use a lot.

    This is a really great strategy for math! It starts to make big numbers really easy to deal with .
